Honouring Karl D. Schnalzer
The Karl D. Schnalzer Memorial Scholarship was founded to honour Karl’s life and his dedication to Engineering, with the dual purpose of helping the communities he deeply influenced. Originally from Pickering Ontario, Karl was known as an exceptionally bright young man. His aspirations led him to Carleton University, where he later earned a degree in Software Engineering. Beyond his academic accomplishments, Karl embodied thoughtfulness, compassion, humour, and an adventurous spirit. His devotion to his family and friends was both admirable and reciprocated, leaving behind a void that will be profoundly felt.
Memorial Scholarship
The Karl D. Schnalzer Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate student from Pickering, Ontario (or nearby areas in Durham region) who is entering or continuing in a Bachelor of Engineering program at Carleton University. Preference will be given to students in Software Engineering.
